The NPACI Scalable Visualization Toolkits are a suite of C++ and Java class libraries that support analysis, filtering, compositing, rendering, and interacting with very large multi-dimensional, multi-modal, time-varying data sets. The toolkits are available for download from the NPACI Scalable Visualization Web site.
The SDSC Image Tools are a suite of UNIX command-line tools, and underlying C function libraries, that support image manipulation and file format conversion. The tools support over 30 different common file formats.
Note: The SDSC Image Tools are no longer in active development. The functionality of the tools is intended to be rolled into the NPACI Scalable Visualization Toolkits.

"Interactive Color" is a Macintosh application used to teach about the use of color in digital media.

"Image Typer" is a Macintosh application used to set the "type" and "creator" codes for Macintosh files.

MICE (Molecular Interactive Collaborative Environment) is a Java application providing high-quality, interactive visualization of molecular scenes. MICE uses the ICE collaboration tools and CORBA to provide client access to server-side molecular data. MICE is available for download from the MICE Web site.
ICE ( Interactive Collaborative Environment) is a Java package providing network communications and collaboration support for multi-client applications. ICE is layered atop CORBA. ICE is available for download from the ICE Web site.
A variety of AVS modules are available, including those support collaborative AVS networks. AVS modules are available for download from the SDSC AVS modules page.
"Nearcount" is a UNIX command-line application built for SGI platforms that reads an image stack of fluorescence microscopy images and counts colored pixeles meeting certain criteria. The distribution includes source code that uses the image file handling abilities of the SDSC Image Tools.
