AVS Modules

Software developed by the SDSC visualization team and available for download. Please read our copyright notice.

Welcome to the module gallery. Here you will find software modules for use with the Application Visualization System (AVS) 5. Each module includes source code, and a Makefile for Silicon Graphics systems (though these modules can also be compiled for other platforms). Select a module icon to download it.

AVS 5 Modules

Input

This module simultaneously animates two integer variables through a range of values. Written by Greg Johnson, SDSC.

This module draws a nice grid. Written by Dave Nadeau, SDSC.

This module reads Computed Tomography slices. The specified file is assumed to contain a single 16-bit per sample slice. Written by Greg Johnson, SDSC.

This module reads in a list of points from a file containing 3D scatter data. Written by Greg Johnson, SDSC.

This module tessellates a patch description of the famous Newell teapot and outputs the result as an AVS geometry. Written by Greg Johnson, SDSC.

Filter

This module converts a 2D scalar byte AVS field to an AVS image. Written by Greg Johnson, SDSC.

Output

This module writes out a sequence of 2D scalar byte AVS fields as 16-bit per sample Computed Tomography slices. Written by Greg Johnson, SDSC.
